There is life after graduation! The UNLV Chemistry Department has been very successful in placing its graduates. Following is a list of what our M.S. graduates were doing the last time we heard about them.
Jae-Gu Choi -- Mr. Choi is working in chemical industry in his native Korea.
Gary Coates -- Mr. Coates is an analyst for the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies on the UNLV campus, and teaches part-time in the UNLV Chemistry Department.
Robert Curiale -- Mr. Curiale is working for a Las Vegas-based environmental consulting firm.
Latika Datta -- Ms. Datta teaches chemistry part-time at the Community College of Southern Nevada and UNLV.
Tonya Dombrowski -- Ms. Dombrowski is a Ph.D. candidate in the Chemistry Department at the University of Kansas.
Irene Farnham -- Ms. Farnham now works for the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies as a research scientist.
Daniel Fischer -- Mr. Fischer is director of the organic analytical laboratory at Lockheed-Martin in Las Vegas.
Frezewd Haile-Meskel -- Ms. Haile-Meskel (a.k.a. "Frey") has moved to Palo Alto, California where she is pursuing her interest in surface chemistry.
Tammy Jones -- Ms. Jones currently works for the U.S. EPA, Office of Research and Development, located in Las Vegas, NV, as a Research Chemist. In 1995 she won the prestigious Arthur S. Flemming Award, awarded, in the scientific category, to outstanding young federal employees.
Russell Lidberg -- Mr. Lidberg has accepted a position as a research scientist in Ames, Iowa.
Shen Lin -- Mr. Lin is a Ph.D. candidate in Chemistry at Purdue University.
Piotr Nowinski -- Mr. Nowinski is the analytical laboratory manager at Pioneer Chemical Company in Henderson, Nevada.
Grazyna Orzechowska -- Ms. Orzechowska is a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Science at Old Dominion University.
Charlita Rosal -- Ms. Rosal works for the EMSL division of EPA in Las Vegas.
Yilin Shi -- Mr. Shi is an analyst for a private laboratory in Orange County, California.
Mohammadtagi Nassehzadeh-Tabriz -- Mr. Tabriz is working at a radiochemistry lab in Utah.
Bhaskar Tadepalli -- Mr. Tadepalli is working as a consultant in North Carolina.
Alex Tikanen -- Dr. Tikanen has obtained his Ph.D. from the Chemistry Department at the University of California, Davis and is continuing to work there as a postdoctoral scholar.
Steven Ward -- Mr. Ward works for a private analytical firm in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
