Welcome to the Department of Mathematical Sciences

The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers graduate and undergraduate degree programs in the study of mathematics and statistics. The Ph.D. program in mathematical sciences started in the Fall of 2005, and has four areas of concentration.

Technology and Research

The department has a distributed computing lab, as well as various other computing resources at UNLV. Opportunities are available for students interested in statistics, pure, and applied mathematics.
