Welcome to CAMS
The Center for Applied Mathematics and Statistics (CAMS) is a service and research unit of the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas, administratively located in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
Its staff, consists of faculty and graduate students in the department, provides inter-disciplinary
research collaboration and statistical consulting service to faculty, primary researchers, graduate
students and staff of the University. Since CAMS involves a virtual community of scholars from a myriad
of disciplines across the University and community, by its functional roles CAMS serves through two ways - statistical consulting and applied mathematics research.
Our Mission
- To enhance university research efforts by offering quality statistical advice to faculty and student projects.
- To provide interdisciplinary research and collaboration opportunities for students and faculty from all departments.
- To train statisticians to communicate effectively with professionals from other disciplines.
