Traveling to the UNLV Campus:
Travel to UNLV by car or from the airport is easy,
as UNLV is approximately one mile from the airport and approximately 2 miles east
from the I-15 freeway which connects San Diego and Salt Lake City.
UNLV is also approximately 3.2 miles west of US-95 and US-93,
for those traveling from
Kingman, AZ or Needles, CA.
Specific directions for traveling by car are given below.

The Conference Site:
The Conference is being held in the Classroom Building Complex
at the UNLV campus.
Below are directions from various places to get to the northeast
corner of Tropicana Avenue and Swensen Street.
At this corner is UNLV, and more specifically, a large parking
lot surrounding a large round building called the Thomas and Mack center,
which seats approximately 20,000 people.
This parking lot has entrances on both streets Swensen and Tropicana.
The entrance on Tropicana Avenue is at the first light east of the corner
of Tropicana Avenue and Swensen.
Connected to the right side of the Thomas and Mack Center is the Cox Pavilion.
Behind the Cox Pavilion are two buildings, the second of which is part of the
Classroom Building Complex.
The conference is being held in the A Building of the Classroom Building Complex.
General Directions (short version) from the Southwest and Utah:
Take the I-15 to Las Vegas, and exit
at Tropicanna Avenue (exit number 37).
Travel east on Tropicanna Avenue for about 2 miles.
UNLV is on your left, at the northeast corner of Tropicanna Avenue and Swensen Street.
General Directions (long version) from the Southwest and from Utah:
The I-15 runs south/north through Las Vegas.
The I-15 connects San Diego and Salt Lake City
so that travel is mostly northeast and southwest
(travel on the I-15 is officially North/South,
though many Californians initially think it runs East/West).
Take the I-15 into Las Vegas and exit on the Tropicana Avenue (exit number 37).
Head east on Tropicana Avenue for about 2 miles:
at the first intersection, you will drive by some major casinos
(e.g. New York New York and the MGM on your
left, the "castle" Excaliber and the Tropicanna Casino on your right).
At the fifth light, you will be at the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Swensen Street.
At the East/North corner of this intersection (i.e. on your left and through the light)
is UNLV. Now follow the directions above under Conference Site.
From San Diego:
Travel north on the I-15, exiting in Las Vegas at the Tropicanna Avenue exit
(careful, as northbound traffic backs up at this exit). Turn right onto Tropicanna Avenue
and follow the general directions above: travel approximately 2 miles on Tropicanna Avenue
until UNLV is on your left.
From the Los Angeles area near the I-10:
Travel east on the I-10, until you reach the
I-15 freeway (traveling from Santa Monica, you will pass the I-110, I-710, I-605, CA-57).).
Change from the I-10 to traveling north on the I-15 freeway. Travel north on the I-15,
exiting at the Tropicanna Avenue exit (careful, as northbound traffic backs up at this exit).
Turn right onto Tropicanna Avenue and follow the general directions above:
travel for about 2 miles on Tropicanna Avenue until UNLV is on your left.
From the South Bay area of Los Angeles County:
Travel north on the CA-91,
until you reach the the I-15. Change from the CA-91 to traveling north on the I-15.
Exit the I-15 at Tropicana Avenue (careful, as northbound traffic backs up at this exit).
Turn right onto Tropicana Avenue and follow the general directions above:
travel for about 2 miles on Tropicanna Avenue until UNLV is on your left.
From Orange County near the CA-55 avoiding Toll Freeways:
First travel north on the CA-55, until you reach the CA-91.
Second travel north on CA-91 until you reach the I-15.
Third travel north on the I-15, exiting in Las Vegas at the Tropicana Avenue exit
(careful as northbound traffic backs up at this exit).
Turn right onto Tropicanna Avenue and follow the general directions above:
travel for about 2 miles on Tropicanna Avenue until UNLV is on your left.
From Kingman, Arizona:
Drive north on the US-93.
Shortly after traveling through Boulder City, Nevada,
the US-93, US-95, and the I-515 become the same freeway
(see the
Outlying Area Map).
Exit left onto Tropicana Avenue so that you will be traveling west on Tropicana Avenue.
Not counting the light at the Tropicana Avenue exit,
UNLV is on Tropicana Avenue between the tenth light (Maryland Parkway)
and the twelth light (Swensen Street).
At the eleventh light is Wilbur on the left (south) and the entrance to
a UNLV parking lot on your right (north).
Next follow Conference Site directions above.
From Needles, California:
Travel North on the US-95. The US-95 eventually merges with the US-93,
though it may seem as though one is turning onto the US-93
(see the
Outlying Area Map).
Continue to travel north on the US-95/US-93,
exiting west onto Tropicana Avenue (you will turn left at the Tropicana Avenue exit).
Not counting the light at the Tropicana Avenue exit,
UNLV is on Tropicana Avenue between the tenth light (Maryland Parkway)
and the twelth light (Swensen Street).
At the eleventh light is Wilbur on your left (south) and the entrance to
a UNLV parking lot on your right (north).
