Preparing for the Future
I have lived in Las Vegas for more than five years and after completing high school, I decided to stay in town and attend UNLV while many of my peers traveled away to other universities. I am planning to attend medical school in the near future, and my courses at UNLV are preparing me for that goal. I am extremely satisfied with my university because of the great value of education offered and the many student wellness efforts.
A Sound Investment
The cost of tuition at UNLV is more affordable than many other credible universities around the country. The valuable education is important to me because I do not have the resources to pay for school on my own. The low tuition does not lower the quality of education, and I constantly see improvements around campus to enhance the learning environment. New buildings are built every year with more advanced technology like notebook projections.
Support System
In addition to offering an affordable education, students are encouraged regularly by organizations promoting student wellness. During orientation week, a great emphasis is placed on workshops to prevent loneliness, stress, and depression faced by undergraduates from the pressures of college. There are also workshops held at least twice a month to guide students to healthier lifestyles and consistent study habits. From the workshops I have attended, I was reminded of how important healthy eating, time management, and leisure time are to my daily life.
Tools for the Future
I am completing my junior year, and I am very grateful to receive a beneficial education I will profit from the rest of my life. In the future, the affordable tuition will decrease my school loans. When applying to medical school, the tools I learned from student wellness will demonstrate that I can learn at a fast pace and overcome stressful challenges. For these reasons and many more, I am satisfied I chose UNLV to help me reach my career goals and achieve the life I desire.
